The Amazon UK retailer has said not all PS4 and Xbox One pre-orders will be delivered in time for Christmas.
Those who have pre-ordered either an Xbox One or PS4 console (or both) from mid-November can expect delays in their orders, and could very well not play the new consoles until after Christmas. The PS4 section of the website lists a number of pre-order conditions and the chances of the console getting to you:
● Customers who pre-ordered this console up to and including August 6 have been given an option to get a PS4 for release day.
● Customers who pre-ordered this console from August 7 up to and including November 13 will receive their consoles before Christmas.
● Customers who pre-order this console from November 14 will receive their consoles after Christmas.
● Customers who cancel existing pre-orders and place a new order will not get their console for release day.
The same applies for the Xbox One practically, although it states pre-orders from November 13 can be expected after Christmas, although this isn't set in stone - many pre-orders could still make it on launch day. The Xbox One section reads similar conditions as the PS4:
● Customers who pre-ordered this console up to and including August 6 have been given an option to get a PS4 for release day.
● Customers who pre-ordered this console from August 7 up to and including November 13 will receive their consoles before Christmas.
● Customers who pre-order this console from November 14 will receive their consoles after Christmas.
● Customers who cancel existing pre-orders and place a new order will not get their console for release day.
