NEWS: Elder Scrolls Online Requires Xbox LIVE But Not PlayStation Plus

Gamers who decide to play the game on Xbox One will require two monthly subscriptions.

Through a Q&A on the official US PlayStation blog, Zenimax Online Studios Game Director Matt Firor answered questions regarding subscription payments on console versions of the upcoming MMO game.

Firor said "A PlayStation Plus membership is not required to play The Elder Scrolls Online. PS4 players will only be required to pay the same monthly subscription associated with The Elder Scrolls Online that PC and Mac users will play -- nothing more."

On the other hand, when Bethesda spoke with Joystiq they confirmed the Xbox One release will require both an Xbox LIVE Gold account as well the standard subscription to play the game itself.
