NEWS: Final Fantasy XIV PS4 Release Date Revealed

Following the game's release date announcement, the extra content has been revealed in the Collector's Edition.

Matt Hilton, Senior Online Community Manager for Square Enix today blogged details regarding the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV via the official US Sony blog.

Hilton praises the recent success of the game's re-launch on PC and PS3 and it's 1.5 million activated accounts, but goes on to say "And since then, PS4 has been released, and millions of you have welcomed the new console into your homes. But admit it -- you felt that something was missing, didn't you?"

Clearly speaking of a PS4 release, Hilton discusses the upcoming beta which will start February 22, with a final release date of April 14 - the game is to be released worldwide, meaning Japan, America, and Europe will all be able to play the game on the same day, which should make up for some very busy servers.

As well as that announcement, a picture showcasing all of the contents in the collector's edition has been posted (pictured below), showing off what you can except if you're willing to shell out a bit more cash. See below a complete list of items.
