The online magazine Deadline, dedicated to the latest goings-on within the film industry, has posted details regarding The Last of Us movie. It appears numerous Naughty Dog employees are to play important roles in the creative process.
Neil Druckmann, Naughty Dog's creative director is to write the script, whilst co-presidents Evan Wells, Christopher Balestra, and game director Bruce Straley are to be involved as well.
Sam Raimi, director of the Spider-Man and The Evil Dead movies is to lend a hand, although it's not yet clear exactly what his role will be. Raimi's own production company, Ghost House Pictures, is also attached to the project.
A logline has been provided, saying:
"Hardened survivor Joel teams with young and capable companion Ellie to journey through a radically transformed world some 20 years after an infectious pandemic ravages humanity. The game has won numerous awards and has been a big seller since its release last summer."
I'm sure most would agree Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story and Hostage) could totally play the role of Joel....
