NEWS: Dead Island Epidemic Beta Begins Soon

Deep Silver has confirmed the beta will start soon but with no specific date mentioned as of yet.

Players are encouraged to sign up now if they want to gain access to the beta, which is to start shortly - sign ups are taking place at the official website.

Dead Island Epidemic takes a departure from the last two games, which had players taking on hordes of Zombies using first person mechanics - instead you'll be tackling the undead from a top-down point of view with a more arcade style and overall feel.

The official blurb says "Dead Island Epidemic is a fast-paced action game where players will duke it our over supply points, using an arsenal of crafted weaponry, a bevy of devastating powers, and good old-fashion teamwork."

Deep Silver seems to be proud to introduce a new genre in the industry too, known as the ZOMBA - Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Adventure. This will introduce various features including Battle Royale, in which 3 teams of 4 must work together in order to gain supplies, holding down particular areas of the map, all whilst gunning down oncoming Zombie hordes.

The game is to be PC exclusive and is to release through Steam, there is no release date as of yet - if you want to take part in the upcoming beta, be sure to sign up now as places could be limited.

NEWS: Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition Gameplay Revealed

The first part of the game has surfaced online, showing off HD enhancements.

Ready to play Resident Evil 4 yet again? - the very first part of the game has been uploaded, showcasing HD improvements and utilizing the use of full 60 frames per second gameplay.

Originally released on the GameCube back in 2005, Resident Evil 4 took the series in a different direction, which included tons more action and a departure from the horror-survival elements of the earlier games.

Some gamers saw this as the downfall to the series as it quickly descended into an action series, whilst others would highly praise the game.

The Ultimate HD Edition is to release February 28 for £19.99 / €19.99 and will include Steam achievements, a leaderboard system, trading cards, and controller support. See the gameplay below.

PREVIEW: Daylight - "Don't Look Back" Trailer

Atlus has uploaded a new trailer showcasing hints of the game's narrative as well as first-person horror gameplay.

Developed by Zombie Studios, Daylight will offer players a terrifying horror experience that utilizes the new Unreal Engine 4, which according to the videos description "enhances the visuals of your escape to freedom like never before, heightening every bone-chilling detail of your surroundings."

First of, we see a yet to be revealed woman wake up in a state of panic and confusion, and to make things worse - she happens to wake up in an abandoned hospital, complete with a huge Spider.

The hospital is said to have a "dark history" full of secrets that have been hidden away for many years - with only a phone equipped acting as the primary light source and means of navigation, it is up to the player to explore the vast building to eventually find a way out.

We see various paranormal goings-on in the trailer such as objects moving on their own and a very creepy ghostly figure that has every intention of creeping up on you to keep players on their toes.

One of the most unique features is the game's ability to generate different levels each playthrough, meaning environments will never be the same as the last, in turn this will make for massive replay value. Check out the new trailer below.
