Minecraft creator Markus Persson has tweeted the game has reached the 14 million sales landmark, deeming it one of the most popular and successful games of this generation - and that's just the PC release alone.
Persson's tweet reads "The computer version of Minecraft has now sold 14 million copies. Celebrating by having no idea how to play Lego Marvel on PS4!"
The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions has sold a combined 11 million, quickly racking up sales even more - further versions of the game are to be released on Xbox One, PS4, and PS Vita.
