I say upcoming, but North America can get their hands on it right now via the Wii U eShop, but will be missing out on a physical copy, unless they decide to buy both versions of the game.
The visuals on the GameCube version were excellent, especially for the time so to see the game in 1080p quality is really stunning - Nintendo seem to have done a fantastic job converting this title to HD.
The retail version will be available 4th October in Europe and North America, whilst Japan will be getting the earlier release of 26th September.
Additions to the HD release include a new hero mode, which apparently will challenge the most experienced Zelda players.

Hey. Maany posts this month!
ReplyDeleteA Majora's Mask port to the 3DS would have been nice, but at least this seems to go beyond a graphical update; I think I remember reading about a shortened triforce quest and FPS bow combat, or something.. Would this have been possible on the Wii, I wonder?

DeleteCan't edit posts, ugh.
DeleteAh just noticed the 1080 part, I guess not then :p
Btw I can't get your Let's Play videos to load..
I could never get past a certain part in Majora's Mask but that was absolutely years ago, so it would be nice to re-play it as a remake on the 3DS or Wii/Wii-U.
DeleteIn terms of the bow combat, you ever play Link's Crossbow Training? I think it'll be something like that, the game does have a first person mode either way, which can be seen here:

Hmmm, let's play videos - they should work as it's just YouTube, does it say you're missing any plugins or updates on the actual video player?
