NEWS: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 DLC Could Include Playable Alucard

Players might be able to control iconic Castlevania character Alucard once again. [UPDATE: Alucard has been confirmed as fully playable in the DLC.]
UPDATE (07/03/14) -- Konami has highlighted the abilities players have access to whilst controlling Alucard, saying:

"The DLC expands the incredible story of the recently-released sequel, with the fate of the Belmont clan unveiled. Alucard has his own unique, powerful abilities, including use of the Glaciem and Igneas powers. Similarly, Alucard also has vampiric abilities which allow him to transform into a wolf, a swarm of bats and even turn back time! Blood fuels your capabilities, drink the blood of your enemies to intensify your immortal powers."

The DLC will be available March 25 on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.

ORIGINAL STORY (03/03/14)

Steam Underground Community CS.RIN.RU has extracted information from the game files in Lords of Shadow 2 regarding what players can expect in a DLC known as Revelations, including the ability to play as fan-favourite Alucard. See below for the full wall of text pulled from the game.

"Play as Alucard and reveal a whole new aspect of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. Uncover new plotlines and discover the true extend of Alucard's involvement!."

"Play as Alucard in this extensive add on for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The immersive story is expanded further as new branches of the plot and uncovered, along with rich new environments and challenging puzzles. Originally making his appearance in Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse on the NES back in 1989, he is arguably more well known for his adventures in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on the PlayStation 1997.
